More: Alan Fraser videos. Another important thing is transferring the weight to the playing finger, without twisting and leaning the hand. If you play Chopin op 10 no 1 you’ll find out why that is necessary. For Chopin op 25 no 12 the idea of feeling the keys, or letting the fingers partially seat (millisecond) on the keys helps for accuracy. For fluidity F,F#,G,G#,A back and forth (thumb (1) and 3rd) trills, no flat fingers. Always look or think ahead. It helps the brain prepare the hand.

Other info: “The Fundamentals of piano practice” is a free pdf download, and it’s good. Also there are videos of Barbara Lister-Sink on youtube, which are very good. Josh Wright (a concert pianist) also gives some tips on accuracy and technique. One of the tips I liked on leaps was make the horizontal motion fast enough to get there, then barely feel the keys before keypress . Also, practice an exercise with repeating notes in 1-2-3-4′s. It helps. Also practice release of tension after stroke.
